Deanna started as a client training at One on One in 2009 after a car accident which put her on a path of learning the benefits of functional movement for the body and how weight training strengthens the entire body and mind. In October 2011 Deanna reached her goal of becoming a certified Personal Trainer, Weight trainer and Group Fitness Instructor and is registered with BCRPA.
Deanna is also a certified Cross Fit Coach working out at different boxes on vacations. She is a dedicated fitness professional with a passion for improving client health, wellness and quality of life. She delivers high-energy training using the latest techniques in exercise, cardio programs, and strength training. She has a good understanding of the body’s muscles and how they work with the skeleton system and tendons.
Deanna strives to help clients with their fitness/weight loss goals. She remains up to date on fitness and nutrition programs for youth, teens, adults and senior citizens that are fun, safe and extremely effective and tailored to individual needs/goals. She has worked in the Avena Original’s Office attached to the gym and can provide information on the supplements to enhance the bodies healing and longevity.
Deanna has run quite a few half marathons over the years and travelled to China with Wanetta Beal to achieve an amazing goal of running a full adventure marathon on the Great Wall of China. She has competed with the trainers and clients of One-on-One in fitness challenges throughout the years in teams for Tough Mudder, Femsport and more. She competed in a women’s figure competition eating a Raw Food diet with Wanetta Beal and three other clients.
Deanna guides clients through safe workouts modified to their fitness levels and medical considerations, from obesity to hypertension, arthritis, sports injuries, and post-surgeries. Deanna provides private and group fitness training outdoors or in the studio. She has been active in the youth community of Parksville and Qualicum, coaching softball, working with young dancers, dryland/muscle strength training for the Sandy Shores Figure Skaters off ice. Deanna had moved away and has recently returned.
